Quilts of Valor Quilt Day with 4H a SUCCESS

Quilts from the Bluffs partnered with the West Pott 4-H'ers on Saturday, January 26, 2013 to make four Quilts of Valor.  Eight girls attended the event along with several volunteers from the QFTB's quilt group.  It was a full day of quilting as they learned the fine art of 1/4's seams, chain-piecing, pressing and basic quilt construction.  The pride in their accomplishment was obvious and the day was very rewarding.

The group will meet one more time in February to finish the tops, including adding borders, and making a presentation case to present the quilts to the selected military individuals yet to be selected as the recipients of these quilts.
